Nominations for our annual awards are currently open, click the award category below for more details and nomination forms. All nomination forms are due by April 25th, 2012.
Our four awards are:
STEM Impact Partner-
The STEM Impact Award recognizes a person who has made a significant impact on the quality of STEM education in the Mid-Columbia. This may include, but is not limited to:
- promoting the importance of STEM education among the general public and/or education system
- enhancing STEM education through their efforts in the Mid-Columbia
STEM Catalyst-
The STEM Catalyst Award will be presented to an individual, organization, and/or project team who has been a catalyst for change in STEM education. This may include, but is not limited to:
- promoting the importance of STEM education among the general public and/or education system
- seeking out and engaging new and diverse participants or investors in the interest of STEM education and/or its reform
- enhancing STEM education through their efforts at the local, regional and/or state level in Washington
STEM Volunteer-
The STEM Volunteer Award recognizes an individual, or team, whose dedication to impacting the quality of STEM education for the Mid-Columbia has shown through their many hours of volunteer work and committed approach to being a partner in learning.
STEM Educator-
The Mid-Columbia STEM Educator Award recognizes an individual who has made a significant impact on the quality of STEM education here in the Mid-Columbia. This may include, but is not limited to:
- developing programs/projects that integrate STEM education into the classroom
- promoting the importance of STEM education among the general public and education system
- enhancing STEM education through their efforts in the Mid-Columbia
Eligible educators include: K-12 Teachers, Principals or Administrators working within the Mid-Columbia region of Washington State.
Awards will be presented to winning recipients Monday, May 21, during our evening STEMconnect event.
